HomeServe, a household emergency insurance company is to cut 300 jobs across the UK. 162 jobs will go at its base in Walsall, 20 in Banbury and the rest in Preston. The job losses are blamed on declining numbers of customers and company efforts to maintain the competitiveness of the business.
