Description

As announced on March 21, 2013, US-based chip manufacturer Atmel will cut 81 jobs in Heilbronn and Ulm (Baden-Württemberg). In total, Atmel employs 279 people in its Heilbronn site and 46 in its Ulm site. In September 2012, Atmel already announced the cut of 68 jobs in Heilbronn (please see Atmel-DE2012). The worker representatives announced resistance against the company’s plans. The timeline for the restructuring plan is not yet available.
