Description

Getinge, provider of health care equipment, systems and solutions, announced plans to cut 150 positions in an attempt to strengthen its competitiveness through regrouping staff in its production units. The company plans to relocate the production of its bath and hygiene products from Eslov (Sweden) and Meditechnik in Wetzlar (Germany) to the company’s production facility in Poznan (Poland) which will result in a workforce reduction of 150 staff, mostly in Sweden. Moreover, the company is planning to create a global innovation centre in Malmö, Sweden, leading to the creation of 65 new positions. The Getinge Group runs production sites across 9 countries and currently employs around 15,000 staff.
