Description
Cleaning product firm Jeyes has announced that it is to close its factory in East Kilbride cutting 110 jobs. The work is to be transferred to another factory in Norfolk, in August. The company said that the decision followed a review of the profitability of the site. A plan to save the site by Scottish Enterprise was dismissed by the company as not providing a 'robust solution'. The firm previously closed another factory in Wales with the loss of 117 jobs, as reported in factsheet 21369.
