Description
As announced on February 26, 2013, German tin can producer Huber Packaging Group will close its site in Bottrop and make 115 people redundant.
The company announced to relocate the production to Öhringen (Baden-Württemberg) and to offer its employees jobs in the new plant. It is expected that most people will not relocate. Additionally, there will be negotiations with the workers council concerning a severance scheme. The relocation is due to weak plant utilization and the workforce had been reduced from 147 to 115 before. Relocation shall be completed by the end of the year.
