Description

Production at the cord production plant of Drahtcord Saarsteel at Merzig, Saarland, will be discontinued by the end of July 2013. 100 people are set to lose their jobs.

Drahtcord Saarsteel is jointly owned by tyre makers Pirelli and Continental. The measure is said to be necessary due to weak demand.
