Description

Car parts manufacturer Sogefi Filtration is to close its plant in Rhondda Cynon Taf, leading to 190 job losses.

The production at the site ceased following the end of a 90 day consultation period with the unions launched in November, but the unions failed to persuade the management to invest further in the factory. 

Financial troubles in 2011 led to half the workforce at Llantrisant being made redundant and the remainder being put on short time working.
