European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 11 February 2012, the management of the steel mill Huta Małapanew in Ozimek, near Opole, announced plans to cut up to 200 jobs by the end 2013.
The company is to reduce the workforce mainly in non-production departments. The restructuring is attributed to the general slowdown of the steel industry and a drop in orders.
The company currently employs 650 people.
