Blackpool council has announced that it is to cut 300 jobs in the next financial year. The council has identified that it will make around 50 compulsory redundancies and 60 voluntary redundancies with the remainder of job losses expected to be made through natural attrition.
The council hopes to avoid the compulsory job losses through early retirement or voluntary redundancy where possible.
