Description
On 24 January 2013, footwear retail group Schoenenreus went bankrupt and immediately announced its restructuring plan. This will result in the closure of 65 of the existing 206 shops and the loss of 500 jobs, out of a total of 1500.
It is reported that background to the bankruptcy is the increasing competition from internet retailers.
