European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Mercator Group, a Slovenian retail trade chain, will reduce its employees by 800 to 1000 people by the end of 2013.
It is reported that this decision is being made due to the economic crisis in Slovenia and South-Eastern European countries.
Mercator employs 23.000 people in Slovenia and South-Eastern European countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia).
