Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
International law firm Eversheds will cut up to 166 jobs in a worldwide reorganisation. Among others, the company will close its office in Copenhagen, Denmark (29 jobs), reorganise its operations in the UK and open a new office in Beijing, China. All in all, 84 non-lawyers and 82 lawyers will be affected.
The reorganisation marks the sixth redundancy round of the law company since September 2008. Next to redundancies, Eversheds looks for redeployment and relocation opportunities and offers work opportunities at temporary lawyer service Eversheds Agile.
