Kotkamills, a Finnish producer of paper and wood products, has announced redundancies of up to 50 employees from its plant in Kotka. The company has started negotiations with employee representatives on the cuts.
Kotkamills produces coated (magazine) paper and laminate products in Kotka and Imatra. Approximately 400 of the 470 employees in Kotka are subject to negotiations. The company cites poor market situation and the Eurozone crisis as reasons for the proposed cuts.
