Ethics in the digital workplace
Digitisation and automation technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), can affect working conditions in a variety of ways and their use in the workplace raises a host of new ethical concerns.
On 3 January 2013, Michelin announced plans to recruit around 1,000 people in France, including 800 on permanent contracts and 230 on "contrat d'alternance".
Many recruitments will take place via a simulation recruitment method used by the national employment agency Pôle emploi which targets young people from deprived areas, as the French tyre manufacturer has signed an equal oppportunities agreement to bring people with diverse backgrounds and training to the company.
