Photographic retailing company Jessops has gone into administration, resulting in the loss of 1,370 jobs. All 187 stores have shut down. It is reported that the chain has been negatively affected by competition from supermarkets and online retailers and declining demand. The immediate closure comes as a result of a break-down of negotiations with suppliers.
