Description
Infratek Sverige, active in construction, operation and securing of critical infrastructure, is to reduce staff by 80 people due to a lost power grid operator contract. Infratek Sverige operated and maintained the power grid of energy company Fortum in Värmland, Skaraborg and Bergslagen in the past. However, having lost the new tender, the company will have to reduce staff. 55 of the jobs will be lost in Värmland County.
It is reported that some of the redundant workers may be employed by the new winner of the tender, Eltel. Negotiations with the unions have been initiated. As of January 2013, there is no information about when the reductions will be implemented by.
Infratek Sverige is a subsidiary of Infratek. Infratek is a leading supplier of critical infrastructure in the Nordic region with 1,700 employees.
