Restructuring events
European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Poste Italiane, the Italian postal services provider, is planning up to 233 job cuts at its distribution centre located in Tessera, in the province of Venice.
The activities will be moved to the distribution centre of Padua. The trade unions and the local authorities have requested further details of the restructuring plan proposed by the company. The proposal will be negotiated in order to find alternative solutions. At the moment, 290 people work at the Tessera distribution centre.
