Description
On 5 December 2012, the French government has decided the closure of the bank Crédit Immobilier de France (2,310 employees). Out of total 2,310 employees about 600 to 700 people will lose their jobs. Additional as announced, about 250 employees will be transferred from CIF to La Banque postale in the next two years, 700 ones will keep their jobs till the closure of the bank and 500 ones will be replaced in subsidiaries of CIF. Altogether 900 employees will lose their job. Between 600 to 700 of them will be covered by a social plan and the others could be replaced within the French bank sector.
Update 26-04-2013: As announced the restructuring plan of Bank Crédit Immobilier de France is pending approval by the European Commission. The final decision is expected to be announced by the end of August and then a social plan will take place.
