The management of Delphi announced 157 job cuts in France, and the offshoring of the Research and Development unit to Krakow, Poland.
The company will cut 103 out of 140 positions in Illkirch (Bas-Rhin) including 80% of engineers, as well as 54 out of 78 jobs in Villepinte (Seine-Saint-Denis). Delphi, which employs 3,000 workers in France aims to increase its profitability by relocating to Poland. The employees that will stay in France will strengthen the link between the centre in Krakow and the French car industry.
