Description
On 23 November 2012 MTVA, the public media holding group, announced the dismissal of 250 employees, effective on 22 December 2012.
The public television will cease operation in five regions and 40 radio stations country-wide, and the news network will be dismantled. Very few correspondents will be kept on in order to deliver news reports. In some counties MTVA intends to subcontract local radio and TV stations instead of producing their own programmes.
