Description
Hallpressen, newspaper publishing group, is to let go of 60 employees due to dropping subscriptions and profits from advertisements. Hallpressen publishes 13 local newspapers in Sweden. Of the 60 redundancies, 35 will affect editorial staff at the different newspapers. Included in the restructuring plan is also a centralisation of internal functions to Jönköping and a transition of all newspapers to the tabloid format.
As of December 2012 there is no information about when the reductions will start taking effect or when they will be implemented by.
