On 15 November 2012 construction group BAM (24,000 employees) announced it is running a restructuring operation which will result in the loss of 650 jobs in the Netherlands before the end of 2012.
Background is the crisis in the housing market, due to the economic crisis and insecurity about developments in mortgage regulations.
