Department store British Home Stores has announced that it is to close its flagship Cardiff store with the loss of up to 200 jobs. The store is due to be closed as the lease on the property ends in January 2012.
The company has said that it may open a new smaller store in Cardiff around six months after the closure, and that it is seeking to redeploy staff to other positions within the Acadia Group.
