The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Former state-owned Irish telecommunications company Eircom plans to implement 2,000 redundancies following its emergence from examinership. Eircom said it is reducing its workforce of 5,700 to 3,700 as part of broader restructuring programme to achieve cost-cutting measures and deliver what it terms greater operational efficiencies.
