Description

Sausage manufacturer Freshlink has announced that it is to close with the loss of 145 jobs. The work from the factory is to be moved to a plant in Yorkshire to enhance the competitiveness of the organisation.

Whilst the Scottish government worked with the company on a different solution, they were unable to secure the future of the plant. As of yet, it is not clear when the company will cease its operations at the plant.
