On 30 October, Sabena Technics, a group that specializes in aircraft maintenance will reduce the workforce of its Dinard site (Ille-et-Vilaine), by cutting 149 out of 617 jobs. The group operates 15 sites and employs a total of 3,000 people.

The group Sabena Technics (534 million euro turnover in 2011) has informed the social partners about its plans to reduce its workforce. The group will cease the activities of civil aircraft maintenance subsidiary Sabena Technics DNR. The management stated that they aim to avoid forced dismissals and are looking into alternatives such as voluntary redundancies and internal relocation. The company explains to have to deal with the low prices of its competitors based in low-cost countries.

At the moment, there is no indication as to when the first dismissals will take place.
