Description
The Bernard Mathews group announced the restructuring of its two Hungarian units (Sága Foods and Pannon Pulyka), and the dismissal of 400 employees in total. The company will terminate its livestock breeding activities and will focus on poultry processing and products.
According to statements from the company, the slaughterhouse in Sárvár became obsolete and its renovation is not seen as profitable in the current financial, technological and economic situation. The company would like to focus on maintaining a competitive brand, as well as the quality in poultry processing and trade, where the technology is more advanced.
