Description

Mediabolaget Västkusten, publisher of several local and free newspapers in towns on the Swedish west coast, will let go of 50 of its 350 employees due to diminishing advertising revenues. The company hopes to accomplish the downsizing completely through voluntary resignations compensated for by severance pay. Offers have been presented to older staff members with a deadline for response at the latest on January 4 2013.

As of October 2012, there is no information on when the planned reductions will be implemented by.
