In October 2012, French-based sporting goods chain store Decathlon opened a new distribution centre, where 200 jobs will be created.
The centre is located in Gliwice (southern Poland), as the company aims to widen its activity both in Poland and the Czech Republic. In Poland, the company has been operating since 2001. Decathlon has 26 stores, as well as 2 distribution centres (both located in Gliwice) and it employs over 1,500 people in Poland
