Description
The company Staples announced its intention to cut 219 jobs within the first half of 2013: 42 blue-collar workers and 177 white-collar workers.
According to unions, the decision was a "bad surprise" for the workers.
It is reported that six shops will be closed in Eke, Zellik, Tamise, Schoten, Zaventem and Aarrstelaar, as well as the call-center in Eupen.
Moreover, the measure will have an impact on the headquarters.
