Description
Porto Carras, a big resort in Chalkidiki, announced it is to reduce the number of employees by around 80-90. 46 people have already been dismissed, and another 5% of its 800 employees is to be made redundant.
In addition to these measures the management has also announced that the Hotel and Casino in Porto Carras will now operate on a 6-month basis instead of year-round. This implies that a number of remaining employees will be offered seasonal contracts instead.
The restructuring is a result of a drop in the turn-over in the last 3 years.
