European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Van Gansewinkel, a company specializing in waste treatment announced its intention to cut 600 jobs before mid-2013. 100 of the jobs affected are in Belgium.
According to the management, the decision is due to the overcapacity and the price pressures. According to the unions, workers are concerned about their future in the company.
