Description

Lavoranti Muratori, the Italian cooperative operating in the building construction sector, is to close with the loss of 150 jobs.

According to the cooperative representatives, the closure is mainly due to the negative effects of the economic crisis in the building sector. Over the last year the cooperative has already requested to recourse to the extraordinary scheme of the Wage Guarantee Fund. The trade unions have required the involvement of the public authorities in order to find alternative solutions to the closure, with the aim to maintain professional skills of the cooperative’s workers.

Public institutions are the main customers of Lavoranti Muratori.
