Description

The Swedish central administrative authority, the National Food Agency (Livsmedelsverket), has announced that it is to cut 300 jobs in Uppsala.

The National Food Agency is expected to substantially reduce its costs within the next three years. The Agency’s savings scheme is a response to the reduction in the government funding accompanying the increase in the costs of salaries.

The National Food Agency currently has 500 employees. As of September 2012 it is not yet know when the job losses will be implemented by.
