European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The Ardagh factory in Merthyr Tydfil will shut down and move production to Nottinghamshire and Norwich resulting in the loss of 146 jobs.
The closure came after a period of consultation with the unions and the Welsh government.
The company stated that it would do everything it could to offer workers jobs at its other UK factories.
