Description

Swedwood Tibro AB, manufacturer of wood based furniture, has announced that it is to dismiss all of its 221 employees in Tibro, Sweden. The announcement is the result of a declining demand over several years.

Swedwood Tibro AB is a subsidiary of Swedwood International AB, which has approximately 16 400 employees in ten countries and forms a part of Ikea Industry Group.

As of September 2012 it is unknown whether Swedwood Tibro AB will be sold or closed. The timeline for the dismissals is also yet to be announced.
