Description

Swedish manufacturer of furniture Nobia will offshore the production of its German low price kitchen furniture subsidiary Optifit Jaka. The offshoring from Germany to the UK will affect 150 jobs.

It is reported that the move is motivated by a need to centralize mass production. The manufacturing of bathroom furniture is said to remain at the German site.

Optifit Jaka currently employs 220 people. Talks with the works council will start in September.
