European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
On 27 August 2012 the management of the Egészségügyi Holding announced the dismissal of 541 employees in the county's four hospitals. Medical personal will not be dismissed; the cuts will affect the employees of the hospitals' back office services such as controlling, IT, nourishing.
The company, having experienced serious liquidity problems, has announced an internal restructuring and rationalisation project.
The local labour authority has already been notified about the plans and negotiations with the social partners have started.
