European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
VR, a Finnish train operator, has announced redundancies of up to 98 employees from its ticket sales and customer services. The company is starting negotiations with employee representatives on the cuts.
The company is not planning on closing stations or service locations, but it notes that over half of its tickets are now being bought via internet or from vending machines.
