Description
As reported on May 21, 2012, German Canadian Aviation Electronics subsidiary CAE Elektronik will cut 68 of its 550 jobs until April 2013. This is due to a worsening order position and increasing competition in the market for flight simulators.
In August 2011, CAE Elektronik had initially announced to cut about 145 of 550 jobs, most of them engineers. Since a high number of employees voluntarily left the company, 68 jobs remain to be cut. Worldwide, CAE employ about 8,000 people.
