Description

On 15 June 2012, Vion Food Group announced it will cut 630 jobs, about half in the Netherlands and the other half in Germany. The restructuring will take place by combining different slaughtering facilities. A timeline for the restructuring is not yet known.

Background are adverse market circumstances, resulting in substantially lower profits (a fall from € 80 million in 2010 to € 14 million in 2011).
