Description

Holcim, a Swiss company specialized in supplying cement and aggregates, will apply for a Redundancy Procedure affecting 295 employees (28% of its workforce in Spain).

The measure is blamed on the deep crisis affecting the construction sector and has been agreed with the unions.

Dismissed workers older than 55 years old will receive a compensation for dismissal equivalent to 30 days per year worked up to 22 months. The compensation for the rest of the workers will be equal to 28 days per year worked up to 18 months.
