Description
Finnish household appliance chain Veikon Kone will close all its remaining 11 stores, with a loss of 100 jobs.
The owner of Veikon Kone, telecommunications company TeliaSonera, has tried to sell the chain for over a year but managed to sell only 5 stores. The company notes that the purchasing pattern for household appliances has increasingly moved from specialized stores to hypermarkets as well as online stores.
