European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
The company Desso, specialized in the production of carpets and rugs, announced its intention to restructure the firm. It will close its tufting and coating operations for artificial grass pitches. This will affect 91 jobs. 79 manual workers will be made redundant, as well as 12 office staff.
The restructuring concerns its production unit and the sales department. According to the management, the decision is due to the pressure on the worldwide market.
