European Restructuring Monitor (ERM)
The restructuring events database contains factsheets with data on large-scale restructuring events reported in the principal national media and company websites in each EU Member State. This database was created in 2002.
Balta, located in Sint-baafs-Vijve and specialized in the manufacture of carpets and rugs, announced its intention to cut 84 jobs.
According to the management, workers in week-end shifts will be especially concerned since their profitability is decreasing. However, Balta wants to limit the number of layoffs by keeping a maximum of workers in the firm through internal mobility.
