Description

On 16 May 2012 Danish pump producer Grundfos announced plans to relocate parts of its production from the Bjerringbro facility in Denmark to Serbia over the next two years. The decision will lead to up to 100 jobs being cut in Denmark. It is not yet decided how many people will be directly dismissed and how many will be reduced by natural wastage.

The company claims the delocalisation is due to tighter EU environmental regulations. Grundfos invested in new site in Serbia also in order to move the production closer to the markets in Russia and Turkey.
