Description

On 24 April 2012, the Board of Directors of REC (Renewable Energy Corporations) decided to close down the solar cell plant in Porsgrunn, Norway. The decision will result in 370 employees being made redundant, 170 of whom have already been temporarily laid off.

The decision was expected since the plant has been generating losses for long time now.
