The industrial electronics company Hapro announced plans to dismiss 150 employees in its plant in Mohagen, Norway by the end of August 2012. In addition, 90 workers will be temporarily laid off.

The company representatives claim the reason for this decision is that one of the largest customers of Hapro started to outsource services in low-cost countries. This lead to substantial orders withdrawal with subsequent loss of income. The company operates within a vulnerable industry and it is greatly dependent on orders from few large clients.

The restructuring is to be completed by the end of August.
