Description
Incasòl, a public agency of the Regional Government of Catalonia, has applied for a Redundancy Procedure affecting 203 employees (42% of its entire workforce). The agency acts as a government urban development body. The services covering construction and real estate are specifically open to low salary workers and people at risk of social exclusion.
Under the new labour regulation enacted in February 2012, public enterprises can dismiss workers giving the reason of "budgetary shortage". This is the first redundancy procedure which the regional government of Catalonia applies attending to the new regulation.
