Description
As announced on 31 May 2012, German chemical and pharmaceutical company Merck will relocate its administration site Merck Shared Services Europe (MSSE) in Darmstadt to Eastern Europe. As a result of the move some 200 jobs will be lost. The management is currently holding talks with employee representatives.
The delocalisation is part of Merck's "Fit for 2018" programme. Worldwide, Merck employs 40,000 people.
